Before 2030, 7.5 million British workers will have been skillfully trained on how to use AI as if it were a second nature and this is because the UK government is collaborating with some of the biggest names in technology which are Google, Amazon, Microsoft, IBM and even NVIDIA to give one out of every five workers a new toolbox full of AI talents, ranging from basic to badass.

It’s not just for Techies
This all began at London Tech Week, where the UK Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, made it obvious that AI was no longer for developers. So whether you’re a student, teacher, nurse, administrative assistant or even retired, this AI course is for you.
Who’s Helping?
The experts in Tech will be pulling up:
- Microsoft says they’ll train 1 million people by the end of 2025.
- SAS is offering free AI courses to everyone from “apprentices to pensioners”.
- Other players like Amazon Web Services, IBM, and Salesforce are also dropping free resources and guides like it’s Christmas.
This isn’t just talk.
The government is fully involved:
- £187 million is going into “TechFirst” to train kids in schools, fund scholarships and make sure future workers are AI-ready.
- Another £1 billion is being pumped into tech infrastructure to supercharge the UK’s AI power.
So You Should Care Because?
- The job market is changing fast.
- AI is a tool and not a threat.
- This is your chance to glow up your skills.
- This is free tech training from Google and Microsoft.
