Amazon Web Services (AWS) and OpenAI Partner to Power Next-Gen AI Workloads

AWS just announced a new collaboration with OpenAI to expand compute capacity for the world’s most demanding AI models, including the ones that power ChatGPT.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has confirmed that OpenAI would use its infrastructure to execute and grow important AI workloads. The move is intended to improve reliability, performance, and security for enterprise-level applications while also preparing for the huge computational demands of the next generation of models.

OpenAI will gain access to AWS Trainium and Inferentia chips, which are Amazon’s custom-built silicon for more efficient AI model training and execution. AWS will leverage OpenAI’s scale and technological expertise to enhance the deployment of massive AI systems in production.

According to AWS management, the partnership is intended to “make powerful AI infrastructure more accessible and sustainable.” To put it simply, this partnership combines the hardware power of AWS with the cognitive layer of OpenAI.
