Meta buys wearable‑AI startup Limitless; putting “real‑life to content” on autopilot

Meta has acquired Limitless, a US startup that creates a wearable pendant that captures and transcribes real-world conversations, resulting in searchable summaries.

Limitless (previously “Rewind”) created a device that clips to your garment or lanyard, records audio throughout the day, and allows a companion app to index what you said.

Meta intends to integrate this technology into their larger AI hardware push. Existing devices will still be supported, but Limitless will no longer offer new gear.

What this means for creators

You could record meetings, interviews, or casual discussions without using a microphone or pressing the “record” button, then use the raw material to create blog articles, videos, or social content.

Podcasters, journalists, and content creators can save time on transcribing and focus more on their creativity.

It may make “real-life → content” seamless, capturing ideas, moments, and conversations as they happen.

What this means for entrepreneurs

This type of wearable might become a productivity tool for client calls, meetings, and quick idea capture; no more scrawled notes or lost thoughts.

It creates economic opportunities by transforming raw speech data into useable material (summaries, timelines, and marketing text).

Early adopters can reduce administrative costs and focus on high-value tasks.
