UAE pushes targeted AI growth initiatives heading into 2026

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced an AI Entrepreneur’s Roadmap for 2026, with the goal of accelerating regional startup growth.

According to Business Today Middle East research, AI was used by 97% of the UAE government institutions in late 2025, and the development community numbered over 450,000 programmers.

The Unicorn 30 Program aims to help 30 entrepreneurs reach billion-dollar valuations by providing capital, market access, and fast-track regulations.

The AI Infrastructure Empowerment Platform allows entrepreneurs to access high-performance computing resources, significantly lowering training expenses for AI models.

What this means for creators

This roadmap demonstrates how governments are beginning to view AI as a driver of new potential rather than just a technological advancement.

For creators who also dabble in productising ideas or building tools, it means more infrastructural support and access to global markets, especially if you are willing to explore opportunities in growing hubs like the Middle East.

Founders who follow global ecosystems will view this as a hint that competition for AI expertise and businesses is heating up.

Places like the UAE provide not only money but also computer power and regulatory support, which can reduce costs and accelerate innovation.

If you are scaling an AI product, this pattern could influence where and how you expand.
