How three simple AI tools transformed a creative vision into a professional-quality Afrobeats AI music video.
In today’s AI-driven era, limits to how much one can be creative are vanishing faster than ever. It’s the era of AI music videos that can match anything you have ever seen before. Productions that once required expensive studios and weeks of work are now getting done in minutes.
In this article, I will be breaking down bit by bit how I created an AI music video using just 3 AI tools.
The Vision: An Afrobeats Love Story
The vision was clear: The goal was to create an authentic Afrobeats love song and AI music video, that I titled Ajoke. By the way, the song was inspired by a very good friend named Ajoke. It is a complete song with traditional African elements and modern production quality. The challenge was to bring this idea to life without traditional resources. It’s amazing what you can do with AI these days.
So the solution? Combining three specialised AI platforms, each with a unique purpose. This approach demonstrates how modern creators can produce professional-quality AI music audio and video content that rivals traditional production methods.
Step One: Crafting the Perfect Song with Suno AI
The project begins with Suno AI, a revolutionary music-generating platform that converts text prompts into complete musical compositions. Suno AI excels at producing high-quality music in a variety of genres and languages. And if you ask me I would say it is one of the best out here at the moment, if not the best, when it comes to creating AI music that can match or even beat any human music you have heard.
The magic started with this carefully crafted prompt: “create an afro fuji, African music, love song, sweet African male voice, baseline, african talking drums, heartfelt words, in yoruba, guitar riffs, a minor key, in 528 Hz about a girl called Ajoke.”
This detailed prompt for the AI music incorporated authentic Afrobeats elements: distinctive baseline, traditional talking drums, guitar riffs, and emotional Yoruba lyrics. The 528 Hz specification, known as the “love frequency,” added intentional depth.
To get the very best output from Suno, it is essential that you master the art of prompting. The quality of your input directly impacts the output you get from Suno. I take pride in my expertise when it comes to prompting, it’s amazing how underrated becoming a prompt expert still is right now.

Suno AI generated the entire AI music, including lyrics, vocals, instrumentation, and an authentic African vibe. After using Suno’s built-in mastering capability, the WAV version was downloaded for video creation.
Step Two: Finding the Perfect Visual with Pexels
Once the audio was determined, the next challenge was to find the appropriate image for this project. Pexels, a popular platform for royalty-free images and videos, proved useful. Pexels.com provides millions of high-quality images and videos that are entirely free for any use. However, it’s always a good idea to give credit to or donate to the creator.
The search focused on finding an image that complemented the song’s romantic and African theme. Pexels’ extensive library made it possible to locate the perfect photograph to use with a goal of creating a lip-sync video from the image. The image below was selected and used for this experiment.

Step Three: Bringing Images to Life with Hedra AI
So now we have the perfect image that matches the vibe of the music I created with Suno. Next and final step is to jump on Hedra AI. Hedra AI, an innovative technology that specialises in making talking and singing character videos from static photos, creating text to image and text to video content and audio.
Using the free version of hedra was enough for this experiment and the process was surprisingly simple. The audio created with Suno AI and the image downloaded from Pexels were needed for this final phase.
The prompt given to Hedra was simple: “turn the image into a music video with the man in the photo lip syncing the audio music attached.”
While the free version limited output to 20 seconds, this constraint resulted in a focused and useful piece for this presentation. Hedra’s AI evaluated the audio and created lifelike lip movements, facial expressions, and animations to bring the image to life.
The Result: A Masterpiece in Minutes
The final result is remarkable: a professional-quality music video that effortlessly combines original Afrobeats music with captivating visuals. The entire process takes minutes, as opposed to the days or weeks needed for traditional production. We will surely work on a longer version of the AI music video, as the 20-second AI music video was only for educational purposes.
What makes this achievement significant is the accessibility of AI tools used. Suno AI offers free and paid tiers, Pexels provides completely free resources, and Hedra AI’s free version is sufficient. However, if you intend to commercialise such a project, it is best you pay for a premium Suno AI and Hedra AI subscription.
This will allow for you to monetize your creatives with no copyrights issues. Pexels has been totally free since it was established, with an option to give credit to a creator or make a donation when you download and use their content.
